It’s very likely that I’m the last person on the internet to see this, but just in case I’m not, here it is:
Mr. Lee CatCam

Some guy equipped his cat (who spends a lot of time outdoors, which I really don’t approve of) with a camera that takes pictures at intervals. My cats don’t leave the house, but I’ve often fantasized about doing something similar, just to see what they do all day.

Good News

June 5th, 2007

I woke up this morning to the best news I’ve seen in a while: Military Judges Dismiss Charges for 2 Detainees. These two decisions call into question the jury-rigged courts the Congress set up last year in Guantanamo for military commission trials, and have caused some in Congress to suggest much-needed revisions to the system, like the restoration of habeas corpus. Although neither detainee is likely to go free as a result of these decisions (and I have no opinion as to their guilt or innocence — I am not that familiar with their cases), this is a hopeful sign that it might be possible to fix our damaged justice system.
