I haven’t been paying attention to the buzz about Gigli, mostly because I’m neither a J-Lo fan nor an Affleck fan. But this review in the Washington Post woke me up a bit:

Larry’s [Affleck's] none too thrilled about holing up in his apartment with a kid who talks like “Rain Man” and a female [Lopez] who calls all the shots, but it’s only a matter of time before he becomes very interested in his attractive companion. That is, until he learns she’s not interested in his gender…. She just broke up with a girlfriend and she’s not completely against the idea, but first they have to argue….

This is appalling for so many reasons, not the least of which is that Affleck apparently suceeds in wooing Lopez — ’cause you know that lesbians prefer women because they just haven’t met the right man yet.

I’m glad to see that the critics are panning this 90-minute insult.
