So relaxing

In the town I used to live in, we got NASA TV on cable. I frequently had it on, especially when a shuttle was up. It was nice as background, and there were frequently amazing pictures of the earth or odd pictures of the astronauts doing crazy things.

I don’t get NASA TV anymore, something I am really going to regret on October 2.

Why? Because when Atlantis blasts off on October 2, there will be a camera mounted on the big orange external fuel tank, looking down at the engines. It will be a cool look at what happens when those engines ignite. The camera will transmit pictures for about 30 minutes, at which point it will burn up in the atmosphere as the big orange tank descends back to earth.

Cool. Anyone with NASA TV willing to tape it for me?

That is so cool…was it live feed? I think I’d be glued to it looking for aliens or things like that! Heh.
